Thank you for your interest in the role of Teacher of Languages (Spanish and French) at The Dean Academy. This exciting opportunity has arisen because of the rapid expansion of our school community and we are looking for an ambitious and positive individual to join our MFL faculty. The Dean Academy is a Good school with experienced staff and an ambitious Senior Leadership Team. You will receive exceptional CPD and be part of a supportive team, working collaboratively shaping the curriculum our students receive. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, teaching and assessment of classes throughout Key Stages Three and Four and will work closely with our Subject Lead to ensure that the high expectations around teaching and learning continue to be met.
Our MFL Department is a highly active and rapidly improving part of school life, teaching French and Spanish to all Key Stage Three students and both options at GCSE. Rapid development, including an aspirational extra-curricular programme called ‘Limitless Languages’, creates a challenging and engaging curriculum that equips students with the vital skills and knowledge needed to become international citizens who lead positive change and progress throughout the global community.
The Dean Academy is an 11-16 school with approximately 700 students on roll in Lydney, in the beautiful Forest of Dean. As a small, local and fully comprehensive school, The Dean Academy is part of the highly successful Athelstan Trust.
